Pesach
Erin tells some of her Pesach stories: Passover,
Passover, make me a snack.
I’m sure if my dad were to tell his Passover stories, they would all
revolve around the songs “Chad Gadya” and “Echod Mi Yodea”.
I have a new Passover anecdote for 2004, and it comes in the form of a
lemma: “It is impossible to determine, merely by visual inspection,
whether a box of matzot is fresh or a year old. A bite must be taken to
determine the true age of the matzah inside.” (As a lemma, it is proven
only by experience and not by formal methods, so feel free to send me your
corroborating evidence or counterexamples.)
