AP: World riveted by U.S. election

I used to think the idea of a “world government”, as observed in countless sci-fi and fantasy backdrops, was a ridiculous idea. Maybe I was wrong. The AP wire today carries a story about how the rest of the world is riveted by our election. “At the heart of the matter is a belief that in an era of globalization, when American decisions affect hundreds of millions around the globe, the election is not a domestic U.S. issue.” No globalization without representation?
