Oh holy crap. I trust Drudge about as far as I can throw the Earth,
but this particular bit of absurdity is just too bizarre not to mention:

Impossible to believe, of course, as actual platform plank. Very slight
probability that this is a trial-balloon leak. But what if it
were real? “Vote for me, and I will promise each one of you a
shiny penny.” Oh, wait, that’s exactly what happened
in 2000. That $300 in your pocket really made up for a prolonged
recession, spiraling federal debt, and dead soldiers who couldn’t afford
to buy body armor out-of-pocket, didn’t it, voters?
