This may sound absurd, but I’ve never hard-boiled eggs before. (Of all
possible eggs I despise hard-boiled the most, so I haven’t had to make
them before, but Erin needs them for egg salad.) Of course, as soon as
the water starts to heat, the bubbles zipping around the envelope of the
egg start making a noise that sounds (to me) just like BABY CHICKENS
BEING BOILED ALIVE INSIDE THE EGGS! OH MY GOD STOP IT, STOP IT NOW,
THEY’RE DYING!
I’m a little skittish, I guess.
