Mail archival and search

Question posed to the cloud: How do you archive and search your back
email? I’m looking at (as I mentioned earlier today) coming up with a
delicious and nutritious way to digest a decade of email, and if I don’t
have to implement YET ANOTHER CUSTOM SOLUTION I’d prefer not to.
I’d prefer not to dump my data into a database; I like files, I
like the filesystem, I just want fulltext indexing
(preferably with some email smarts).
