Med Center Traffic

So, Houstonians: Anyone know why rush hour traffic has been so totally
snarled around the Med Center (along Macgregor, specifically) over the
last month? (Unrelated to Super Bowl traffic—it’s worse now than
ever). Erin’s pretty sure it’s the stop light at Macgregor and Almeda,
which is green in the Macgregor direction for about six seconds. Houston TranStar doesn’t seem
to have any info on the phenomenon (no construction going on along
Macgregor, now that the rail is done, and all their speed graphs are
highway-only).
