Chris pines for
wetter times:
❝Water dripping from the leaves, the rustle of branches, and the
occasional susurration of tyres as a car rolls softly past are the
dominant sounds …
In truth, alas, I am sitting in a box with fluorescent lighting and
cathode-ray tubes. Nowhere in this building are there windows that open.
It is also sunny outside, and a little dry. Not the empty brass sunshine
of June, fortunately, but
the rainy season is late this year.❞
