Now that Verisign has coughed up the
top-level domains
.org and .net so that it can keep control of .com until
2007, The Internet Software Consortium and the Internet Multicasting Service
have entered a proposal to turn
the .org domain into a public trust. (Their logo for the proposal, shown
at left, bears a striking similarity to the dsandler.org logotype. The difference:
They’re using Bodoni; I’m using Filosofia.)
