Internet radio is now officially dead, thanks to new
retroactive-royalty legislation.
The Santa Cruz County radio station joins a list of about 50 Internet
Webcasters that have curtailed operations or gone silent since June 20,
when the Librarian of Congress approved a contentious royalty rate
designed to compensate record labels and artists for each song streamed
over the Internet.
