On the way home from SFO (Chicago and Madison were great, by the way,
and I have a couple of pictures to add to the site) we spotted, through
our taxi’s window, a ferris wheel a couple of miles south of our
apartment. We dropped our bags off and immediately went to investigate.

It was the San Mateo County Fair,
which runs (with a Mardi Gras theme) through the end of next week. A
carousel, ferris wheel ride, beef BBQ sandwich (from “Bubba’s Bad BBQ”
— should I be worried?), and bag of popcorn later, we are now
totally exhausted and ready for the week.
