There was a transit of
Mercury today (where the silhouette of Mercury can be seen zipping across
the face of the Sun). We didn’t see it
here, but they did in Asia (photos
from Delhi). The next interesting umbrocelestial event we’ll see
here in the States is the total lunar
eclipse next week. Oh, and be on the lookout next summer for the first in
this century’s Venutian
transit pair, a very rare event indeed!
