Footnote:
Footnote: Microsoft will no longer create new “standalone” versions of
IE; any future Internet Explorer releases will
be only available as part of Windows. (That’s so peculiarI
seem to recall there having been some kind of antitrust lawsuit about
bundling IE with Windows, and Microsoft’s defense having been that it
wasn’t really bundled at all, and the outcome having been not
exoneration for Microsoft but a settlement with the complicit Department
of Justice. Weird.)
Fortunately, MacOS X users
have Safari, and Windows users
should start migrating to one of the quite-solid-these-days dialects of
Mozilla, like Firebird.
