monotone: more version control goodness
April 20th, 2004
Oh, crap, now I have another sophisticated, modern, distributed version
control system to evaluate: monotone, by Graydon Hoare (now at
RedHat). It looks reasonably sophisticated, with some satisfyingly
deep and gritty versioning concepts, but more self-contained than Subversion (which, after a few
weeks of usage, I would use for everything except for the
near-impossibility of compiling it on any new system).
