I’m really fond of this k5 article relating national politics to Louisiana politics, specifically the 1991 gubernatorial election in which the state was forced to rally behind a lousy gubernatorial candidate to defeat an even lousier one (David Duke). [Aside from the hopeful tone it strikes, hoping Republicans will vote for Kerry just to stop the nation’s free-fall, it’s an interesting peek inside Louisiana for those of us not blessed/cursed to live there.]
