His short book, <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.dreamsongs.com\/NewFiles\/PatternsOfSoftware.pdf\">Patterns<br \/>\nof Software<\/a> has (recently?) become available; you will find it<br \/>\nalongside lots of other LISP and software development goodies like <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.dreamsongs.com\/NewFiles\/WhyOfY.pdf\">The Why of Y<\/a><br \/>\nand a complete <i>histoire<\/i> of his famous <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.dreamsongs.com\/WorseIsBetter.html\">Worse Is Better<\/a><br \/>\nessays.  Yeah, you&#8217;ve heard of it, probably from <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.jwz.org\/doc\/worse-is-better.html\">jwz&#8217;s copy<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nWhich leads me, of course, to the reason I&#8217;m sharing all this with you<br \/>\nin the first place: This wonderful little gem from the <i>mauvais est<br \/>\nmieux<\/i> page about hiring <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/users\/jwz\">jwz<\/a> at Lucid.<br \/>\n&ldquo;About a year later we hired a young kid from Pittsburgh named<br \/>\nJamie Zawinski. He was not much more than 20 years old and came highly<br \/>\nrecommended by Scott Fahlman.
