Wardrobe malfunction

February 2nd, 2004
You know, I think Justin Timberlake is a lot smarter, and funnier, than most people give him credit for. Aside from his bust-a-gut appearance on SNL this season, his “apology” regarding the Janet Jackson halftime incident blames the so-called accident on “wardrobe malfunction.” That gives me a chuckle every time I think about it. (The outrage that this stunt (yes, it was planned, don’t fool yourself into thinking otherwise) has generated is alarming and pathetic. The chairman of the FCC is furious! Thank goodness we’re now going to have a full inquest into this. What an excellent use of time and money!)
