Fireworks on the roof

The downtown fireworks in H-town are a big deal. You can see for miles in a flat town, so the whole city is fair game for viewing. Cars were stacked three deep along major avenues; even highways like TX-288 had their wide grassy medians turned to parking lots and peanut galleries. Everyone comes outside to watch the fireworks in Houston.
