I’d be willing to bet that the sudden surge in OBEY posters has something to do with Shepard Fairey’s exhibition at Aerosol Warfare in Houston (concluded on Feb. 10). I guess the big guy’s still got a posse.
Some of you may already know that in July of last year I had a rather embarrassing (and highly dangerous) parking mishap. I scrupulously avoided posting it back then, but I think enough time has passed that I can share the story with you all.
Plus, it’s an excuse to try out my shiny new (old) scanner ($22 on CL).

I’ve been wondering lately why the doodle of my Scion in the rain has been cropping up all over the Internet in blog entries and forum posts. Finally, I decided to run a Google Image search for “rain”; sure enough, dsandler.org makes the front page.

Driving down Montrose today I observed that the “Inversion” exhibit has recently been tagged. There were a few people standing around the aperture, gawking and talking, and it was unclear (as with so many art pieces) if they were admiring an evolving piece or condemning a piece of rubbish. [Also: Flickr photos tagged “inversion”]
