Three years; 284 sheets of 20lb. bond; $120.00 (for binding) …and it’s DONE.

Lupin & Tonks.

July 13th, 2007

Dusted off the old sketchbook, but didn’t have patience for anything fancier than mechanical pencil:

They barely got any lines in the latest Potter celluloid. Here’s hoping we see more of them next time. (As seen on Fleen: Elsewhere, others are rendering Rowling’s characters as a run-up to Deathly Hallows. Saturday is Order of the Phoenix day, hence this particular doodle.)

Coffee swirls.

The Rice Coffeehouse recently announced that they are planning a renovation, and have posted several concepts drawn up by Vaughn and Clarkson Architects. Of course, I can never leave well enough alone, and so when I read that the Coffeehouse was looking for additional input, I doodled some ideas of my own on the whiteboard in our office, and fired off an email.

Of course, I never heard anything back from the Coffeehouse, so I might as well share it with all of you. [Update 1/21/05: The Coffeehouse has moved ahead with a new concept.]

There’s more; read on. (I can’t seem to stop talking sometimes.)

BeOS-tan: Will Multitask 4 Food

October 8th, 2004

Leo brought it to my
attention that BeOS goes totally unrepresented in the world of OS-tans. Despite the
fact that I find it deeply bizarre that this sort of thing exists (basically,
anime personifications of … operating systems), I felt
compelled to sketch out what immediately came to mind:

I haven’t done any drawing in weeks.

December 26th, 2003

I haven’t done any drawing in weeks. Months, maybe. It’s just
that I’ve been so busy. Here, let me look at the last nonblank
page in my sketchbook … OK, in the 6″x9″ there’s a 12/19, but
that was for work; the last one before that is 11/15. And in the 6″x6″
— hell, I can’t even find it. Oh, here it is: 11/17.
So, there you go, more than a month since I sketched or drew or
colored anything. Suck.

Ow.

Ouch.

I was thinking of starting to present some of my journal entries as sketches or inked drawings.

I was thinking of starting to present some of my journal entries as
sketches or inked drawings.

Then I came to my
senses
. What the hell was I thinking?
