Piotr Wozniak and SuperMemo
April 23rd, 2008
“I find myself thinking of a checklist Wozniak wrote a few years ago describing how to become a genius. His advice was straightforward yet strangely terrible: You must clarify your goals, gain knowledge through spaced repetition, preserve health, work steadily, minimize stress, refuse interruption, and never resist sleep when tired. This should lead to radically improved intelligence and creativity. The only cost: turning your back on every convention of social life.”
One response
I saw no mention or suggestion that his regimen is to be followed to the exclusion of all else. Would you, in the process of trimming you fingernails, not stop at some point prior to reaching your elbow?
In fact, Wozniac’s suggested practice is not radically different than that of Michael Masterson in his book “Confessions of a Self-Made Millionaire.”
I rest my case.
