I put a new version of Pyrothèque out yesterday, just in time for the 4th. Lots of fun new features (including snazzy new splash screens—see above). Read all about it over on the toastyblog.

nice changes, sound effects would be cool, but i suppose that might be a bit odd for a screen saver.

I’ve had many requests for SFX (as an optional feature). I need to get some field recording equipment together (or, alternatively, um…blow into my PowerBook’s tiny microphone?).

Ah, this brings back memories. The screensaver for my monochrome 386 back around 1990 or so was a fat-pixeled fireworks program. I hacked it so one of the effects in its arsenal was an exploding Dobbshead. Those were the days.
