I'm pretty sure that I'm deuteranomalous, but i can tell the difference between the two very easily.
yet i always fail those colour vision tests.
maybe i have another type of colour blindness then.

That's odd. I'm deuteranomalous and they look pretty different to me. One is way darker than the other.

I'm with you on this one! I'm a deuteranomalous woman and I have trouble distinguishing the two.

I don't know about the color reproduction of various LCDs, but I did see this on both a CRT and LCD and they looked to have the same distinctness.

Heh. I looked at it on an LCD through my cameraphone and, if anything, it made the top area look slightly more like the bottom, but not nearly enough that I'd confuse the two.

Might be my PBG4's LCD display, as well, washing out the colors a bit.

I went to use my cameraphone to snap a picture of the LCD, and an odd thing happened: the color response in the phone's camera shifted the colors enough that they look quite different to me, through the phone's viewfinder.

Hmm. They look very distinct to me. I wonder if the difference is greater degree of blindness in the individual or different problem areas of the red-green spectrum from person to person.

My first thought was to say that color is orange and how could you confuse it with red or green. The DigitalColor Meter tells me otherwise...
