I noticed that my $9 in Best Buy Bucks expire today (12/3); I had planned to blow ‘em on a discount CD, but

1. Lame: Best Buy’s “discount” CDs have shot up to $12.
2. Lamer: You can use them on anything in the store, with the following exception: Only one may be redeemed per CD or DVD.

Screw that. I just decided to get an $8.99 spindle of CD-Rs (having finally decided that nonvolatile backups are probably a good idea).

The high school kid who rang me up said I couldn’t use all three; only two, because the total (before tax) wasn’t $9. Ugh.

I added a little pack of Advil to the purchase—which, incidentally, I tore into immediately.
