Sitting at home, drunk not on spirits but on antihistamines. 2005 thus starts with a whimper, unless you count the rural ad-hoc fireworks display here in Brazoria County. (The locals certainly seem to pack a lot of firepower—these ain’t bottle rockets, no sir.)
