Oh holy crap. I trust Drudge about as far as I can throw the Earth, but this particular bit of absurdity is just too bizarre not to mention:
A domestic centerpiece of the Bush/GOP agenda for a second Bush term is getting rid of the Internal Revenue Service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Impossible to believe, of course, as actual platform plank. Very slight probability that this is a trial-balloon leak. But what if it were real? “Vote for me, and I will promise each one of you a shiny penny.” Oh, wait, that’s exactly what happened in 2000. That $300 in your pocket really made up for a prolonged recession, spiraling federal debt, and dead soldiers who couldn’t afford to buy body armor out-of-pocket, didn’t it, voters?
