As it turns out, the book accompanying tonight’s The Future Is Wild special on Animal Planet (speculation on evolved terrestrial life 200 million years into the future) is also written by Dougal Dixon, author of After Man (a twenty-year-old text, with somewhat more believable predictions, on the same theme).
