Premise:

Multi-Emmy-nominated series about four thirty-something single women in New York. On February 22, 2004, Sex and the City ended its six-year run on HBO. Thank you, ladies, and good night.

Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker)	New York columnist who writes about "Sex and the City."
Samantha Jones (Kim Catrall)	Maneater PR exec who's bored with NYC because she's done everything (and everyone) in it.
Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon)	Redhead lawyer who recently became a mother, much to her chagrin.
Charlotte York (Kristin Davis)	Repressed former art gallery elite. Briefly Charlotte York MacDougall, but has now signed her divorce papers.
Mr. Big (Chris Noth)	Carrie's on-again, off-again high-powered boyfriend who's provided most of the fodder for her columns. Has now moved to San Francisco.

What do you need to know?

Even if you've missed the first four seasons, you can pretty much get caught up at any time. The girls' lives haven't changed much, except for disposable men and slightly less disposable baby in the picture in Season 5. But if you're starting with Season 5, you'd better hurry, because the last episode airs Sept. 8. Season 6 won't begin until June 2003, due to Sarah Jessica Parker's pregnancy.
