Tough day for the pregnant lady

First, my lit theory course was all about Lacan, so I had to sit through all the discussion of mother-child bonding, followed by the castration complex, after which the child experiences nothing but lack for the rest of his life. So, nice to know that I have that to look forward to. (And, as a bonus, there was a protracted discussion about Lacan’s theories about all births being premature and how the lack could be avoided by another 6-12 months of gestation. I’m sorry, but I need a much better reason to agree to an extra 6-12 months of gestation at this point…)

Then, on Lost, with Jin not being there for the birth of Sun’s baby and all… I’ll say no more, because I don’t want to spoil anything, but, man, I haven’t cried that hard at Lost since the first time they killed Charlie off.
