In a Perfect World
OK, the results of the inaugural poll:
| Bay Area | 12 | 37.5% | |
| London (why not?) | 8 | 25.0% | |
| Boston | 6 | 18.8% | |
| Houston | 6 | 18.8% | |
| Hell | 0 | 0.0% |
Hmm, inconclusive at best…
What this says to me is that we will never be completely happy living anywhere. I’ve decided, then, that I need to create my own city (sans monsters). This city would have to have, at a minimum, all the things I love best:
- Dow Gardens
- In ‘N Out
- a really great public library
- a top-notch university (like Rice or Stanford)
- Finagle a Bagel
- plenty of movie theaters
- a nice view of the ocean
- awesome pizza places
- culture
- at least one good Indian restaurant
- a comfortable coffeehouse
- Chuy’s
- some lovely people
- and family
- (Dan’s special bonus item: mass transit)
I think you’re beginning to see why it’s so hard for us to choose a place to live, no?
(PS: I have to thank you all for not sending us to Hell…)
